Baking Recipes to Reign Supreme at Colorado State Fair
This year's Colorado State Fair will be dominated by the best baking recipes which will be produced at the fair between August 26 and September 5.
The contestants can register themselves at the fair website and registration is compulsory before each event. The Ghirardelli Chocolate Championship will have contestants with baking recipes featuring the Ghirardelli Chocolate. The baking recipes have to include the chocolate and up to 10 other ingredients.
The Pillsbury Pie Baking Championship will also need baking recipes with a Pillsbury refrigerated pie crust and the contestants can choose to top it with anything to make it look marvellous. The best among the baking recipes will win $200 cash prize and the recipe will be advanced to the national stages where it can win up to $5,000. A group of finalist pies will be put up on the Pillsbury website and online votes will decide the winner of "Fan Favourite Pie Award"of the year 2011.
