Baking Recipe For Blueberry Buttermilk Scones

If you are stuck in a breakfast rut, then a baking recipe for blueberry buttermilk scones may be just the thing to snap you out of it and make breakfast fun again. It is not hard work to make these scones, and takes less than fifteen minutes to complete.
To make 8 scones, you need to preheat the oven to 400 degrees, and make the dough in a food processor with 2 cups plus 2 tablespoons flour, 1/3 cup sugar, 1 teaspoon baking powder, ¼ teaspoon baking soda, ¼ teaspoon salt, and 6 tablespoons butter. Pulse until the mixture looks like course crumbs and transfer to mixing bowl. Add ½ cup buttermilk, 1 large egg, 2 teaspoons of vanilla, and 2/3 cup soft dried blueberries which have been whisked together, and stir until combined. Pat the dough into an eight-inch circle on an ungreased baking sheet, cut into eight wedges with a knife, and bake 17-20 minutes.
